The unit can be rechared by plugging into a standard wall outlet, vehicle DC (cigarette lighter) output or by using the solar panel.
The panel makes "on-the-go recharging" very easy. It takes approsimately 3 1/2 hours to fully charge the unit using a wall plug, 4 hours using the vehicle DC (cigarette lighter) output and 5 hours to charge using one solar panel in optimal conditions. Up to 6 solar panels can be used for faster charging times. During solar recharging, keep your portable power station away from heat and direct sunlight to extend its life span.
If not used, the Safari will maintain its charge for one year. However, we recommend using the Safari more frequently. The Safari ME can be rechared approximatley 2,500+ times.
The Safari can power some AC units depending upon the brand and the watts the AC unit requires. The power consumpiton of AC units varies from brand to brand, model to model. The Safari unit has a maxiumin out of 3,000 watts continuously. If the AC unit requires less than 3,000 watts, the ME will power it.
